Our firm has extensive experience defending the rights of people arrested and accused of criminal offenses in State and Federal Courts. Our firm handles all Estate Planning matters including wills, real property and trusts. Timothy A. Straus has earned a Masters of Laws degree in taxation.

Immigration & Naturalization Law

We represent individual and commercial clients before the Immigration and Naturalization Service and provide guidance in matters relating to immigration and naturalization, visas, citizenship, asylum, employment, and deportation/removal/exclusion. We have extensive experience in interpretation and compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act and the Immigration and Naturalization Act. Petitions for family/relative, non-immigrant employment, HI-B, 1-129, L-1 Visa applications and Labor Certifications. Visas for E-2 Treaty Traders, Athletic, Entertainers, Fiancee Child Adoption. Exclusion Deportation proceedings and 212c Relief, 212 (h) Relief and Section 274, Document Fraud, family adjustment in deportation, Bond Release, Reduction or Redetermination of Bond, Change of Venue, Motion to Reconsider, Appeals to the Board of Immigration and Asylum Applications and Withholding of Deportation and Cancellation of Removal.


Our firm represents and advises clients who are or might become involved in a lawsuit as a result of a dispute, including prevention and settlement, in such areas as personal injury and employment claims, contract disputes, family law, commercial matters and juvenile law/termination of parental rights.

Agreements involving Party Wall, Partition, General and Limited Partnership and Joint Venture Agreements. Deeds including Quit Claims, General Warranty and Limited Warranty. Leases; both commercial and residential, as well as equipment. In addition, handle Owner's and Loan Title Policies, Title Opinions, Guarantee Agreements, Indemnity Agreements, Purchase and Lease Options and Defending Condemnation proceedings. Zoning and Variations of zoning applications attending hearings and opposing objections; incorporation or residential and commercial condominiums, applications and attending hearings for making approvals of residential and commercial subdivisions of properties. Zoning and residential and commercial subdivision approvals, incorporation of condominiums.

Juvenile & Dependency/Termination of Parental Rights

Timothy Straus has extensive experience in juvenile and dependency cases. As a former prosecutor with the State of Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services (now the Department of Children and Families), Mr. Straus sought to terminate the parental rights of parents of abused, abandoned & neglected children to facilitate those Children's adoption by qualified parents. Mr. Straus has been chosen to present a juvenile law lecture to judges in a Statewide Circuit Court Judges Conference.
